Beatrice Carpenter

Beatrice L. Carpenter, 82 of Webster Springs passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. She was born April 18, 1934 in Webster Springs to Levi and Elizabeth Brown Rose and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a certified CNA in-home caregiver and enjoyed hunting, reading, and gospel music. She attended Point Mountain Community Church when she was able and was a Christian.

Beatrice is survived by her children Terry (wife Ruth) Carpenter of Port Orange, FL, Carl (wife Dawn) Carpenter of Lodi, OH, David Carpenter of Webster Springs, Debbie Cherry of Centerburg, OH, Scott (wife Rita) Carpenter of Centerburg, OH, Donna (husband Donnie) JayJohn of Mt. Vernon, OH, Charles (wife Michelle) Carpenter of Elyria, OH, and Bobbie Joe Hall of Webster Springs; brothers and sisters Wilma Carter, Judy Furr, Shirley Gilles, Annetta Knight, Brenda Lee, Janet Rose, Levi Eugene “Butch” Rose, and Richard Rose; grandchildren Lisa Carpenter, Amy Latham, Jonas Carpenter, Nichole Valure, Andrew Valure, Olivia Valure, Kevin Carpenter, Lori Queen, Rachel Frye, Kent Carpenter, Justin Garvin, Latasha Carpenter, Charles Carpenter, Kayla Carpenter, and Kenadie Hall; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son James Carpenter; husband Wendall Carpenter; long-time companion Bobby Hall, Sr.; brother Douglas Rose; sisters Nancy Baker, Norma Jean McCourt, and Linda Boggs; and grandchildren Salena Williams, Mark Carpenter, and David Carpenter.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Beatrice’s life will follow at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Carpenter and Pastor Eugene “Butch” Rose officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Webster Springs. Following the interment, there will be a dinner at the Webster Springs municipal building
