Barbara Jean (Kessler) Triplett, “Nanny Barb”, 70, of Bergoo passed away on June 5, 2026 at The Davis House in Elkins.
Born January 29, 1956 in Canton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Virginia Mae (Heavener) Kessler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Triplett; son, Tony Triplett; and brothers: Tommy, Jimmy, and Rusty Kessler.
She was a longtime member of the Bergoo Baptist Church and a retired cook from Webster County Seniors. Nanny Barb was an avid sports fan; she was very involved with Little League Sports and loved watching Ray play. She was his absolute biggest cheerleader and fan. She loved to cook for any function, from big family meals at the house, community and church meals, to bake sales. She was well-known throughout the county for her Hot Rolls and Cinnamon Rolls. She especially enjoyed her time on the farm helping her husband, Bill, tend to things.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Sally Conley, Jeff Lyke, Holly McIe, Monica (Craig) Boggs, and Rayden Triplett; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers: Johnny, Joe, and Pewee; a host of other relatives, friends, and her community to mourn her passing.
Special thank you to those that always checked on her: Trista and Tyler Neal, Jan and Jim Triplett, Lillie Williams, Bennie and Barb Cowger, and her brothers: Joe and Johnny.
Services to celebrate Nanny Barb’s life will be held 1pm, Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Bennie Cowger officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11am – 1 pm prior to the service. She will be laid to rest beside the love of her life, Bill, at Meadowland Cemetery, Bergoo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the cemetery fund: Meadowland Cemetery 770 Bergoo Road, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
