Barbara Jean Murello Lynch, 83 of Summersville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Summersville Healthcare Center. She was born January 20, 1943 in Quantico, Virginia to the late Marine Master Sergeant Frank and Genevieve Utt Murello.
She loved to travel and enjoyed rock concerts, country music, NASCAR races, and spending time at the beach. She loved horse back riding with her sisters: Patty, Pam, and Terry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Lynch; two infant brothers: Anthony and Daniel; and stepson Jackie (Jay) Lynch, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Patty (Bud) Cogar, Pam (Rick) Clutter, and Teresa (Jeff) McCoy; brother: Frank (Donna) Murello; sons: Joseph (Melissa) Lynch and Brian (Kim) Hamilton; step-daughter Traci (Perry) Bias; and grandchildren: Ashley (Andrew) Friday, Breanna (Clayton) Johnson, Cole, Ashley and Annie Hamilton, Lucas Bias, Olivia Lynch, and Chloe and Emma Lynch. She has lots of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends to mourn her passing.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with Pastor Doy Carpenter officiating. Friends may join the family for a time of gathering one hour prior to service time, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home.
