Barbara Ann Cooper, 82, devoted wife of Philip Cooper of Webster Springs entered into rest to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Charleston Area Medical Center. She was born in Arcola on September 9, 1932, the daughter of Carl and Leona Mathes Burns and was a member of the Webster Springs United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who greatly enjoyed her family; they were her greatest joy.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 64 years, Philip Cooper of Webster Springs; children Michael Edward (wife KeKe), Gary Stephen (wife Millie), James Randall (wife Debbie), and Karen Sue (husband Don) Weir; daughter-in-law Cindy; grandchildren Jason (wife Hope), John (wife Heather), Christa, Todd (wife Heather), Steve II (wife Nikki), Travis, Jimmy (wife Anna), John (wife Nellie), Jacob (wife Amanda), Joe (wife Jordan), and Amber; and great-grandchildren McKenzie, Braden, Megan, Ashley, Brian, Shawn, Cambrye, Lexie, Ashton, Trinity, James, Steve III, Emily, Rebecca, Sara, and Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Philip Keith Cooper; and brothers Harley, Arley, and Louis Burns.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brandon Moll officiating. Interment will follow in Miller Cemetery, Webster Springs.
