Annetta Knight

October 28, 1936 — April 12, 2017

Annetta Jane Knight, 80 of Calvin, formerly of Webster Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born October 28, 1936 in Webster County to Levi and Elizabeth Brown Rose and was a homemaker. She attended Beaver Freewill Baptist Church and considered her faith to be her guiding light. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and work in the garden when her health permitted. She will be greatly missed by her family and church family.

Annetta is survived by her children Stanley Knight of Lockport, NY, Randall Knight of Cowen, Rodney Knight of Calvin, Timothy Knight of Mt. Lookout, Bradley Knight of Nettie, Ronald Knight of Richwood, Roger and David Knight both of Detroit, MI, Gerald Knight of Craigsville, Brian Knight of Pinnacle, NC, and Rebecca Knight Bragg of Moncks Corner, SC; brothers and sisters Wilma Carter, Judy Furr, Shirley Gilles, Brenda Lee, Janet Woods, Levi Eugene “Butch” Rose, and Richard Rose; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Denver Knight; son Michael Knight; brother Douglas Rose; and sisters Nancy Baker, Norma Jean McCourt, Linda Boggs, and Beatrice Carpenter.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Annetta’s life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Beaver Freewill Baptist Church, Alderson Church Road, Calvin, with Pastor Levi Eugene “Butch” Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Knight Family Cemetery, Calvin.
