Ann Steiding

April 28, 1937 — November 16, 2017

Ann Lee Lough Steiding, 80 of Mt. Clare went to Heaven on Thursday, November 16, 2017 surrounded by her family after enduring cancer. She was born April 28, 1937 on Point Mountain, Webster Springs, one of 17 children born to the late Bernard and Inez Burns Lough.

Ann enjoyed working in her flower beds, crocheting, and playing Yahtzee and card games. She loved attending Bible Baptist Temple in Stonewood where she was very active when she was able. She enjoyed special times with her brother Grant and his wife Lana and brother George Lough. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, two precious pugs Buddy and Jada, and her neighbors.

Ann is survived by her daughter Beverly Fontaine; sons Paul (wife Teddy) Steiding, Jimmy (wife Cindy) Steiding, and Phillip (wife Donna) Steiding; and daughter-in-law Kim Steiding. Ann also parented George Leonard and Beth Harvey. Also surviving are grandchildren Shannon Dobbins, Natasha Summers, Jessica Steiding, Teth Pieffley, Kagen Steiding, Robert and Kacey Leonard, and Cearah and Isaiah Harvey; great-grandchildren Landon Steiding, Marcus Pieffley, Tyson and Coleton Steiding, and Jackson Dobbins; loving and gracious brother Grant (wife Lana) Lough of NC; brothers and sisters George Lough of Mt. Clare, Sue Steiding of Point Mountain, Joyce O’Brien of Norwalk, OH, Reginia Anderson of Waterloo, IN, and June Boles of Newark, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Steiding; daughter Rebecca Steiding; son Mark Steiding; several brothers and sisters; and son-in-law Jock Fontaine.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Chuck Madaus officiating. Interment will follow in Point Mountain Cemetery.
