Alpha Lee Lough, 86 of Rock Cave, WV, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division.  He was born September 12, 1924 in Webster County, WV to Harmon and Elizabeth Fisher Lough and was an equipment operator for WV Department of Highways and had worked as a coal miner.  He lived most of his life in Webster County, moving to Upshur County in 1985 or 1986. He attended Point Pleasant Chapel in Abbott, WV, was a motorcyclist, a life member of the DAV, VFW, and UMWA.  He enjoyed gospel music, camping, grandchildren.

Alpha is survived by his children John Steven (Peggy) Lough of Rock Cave and Linda Sue (Bill) Adamy of Bolair; grandchildren Dena Sue (Jamie) Brown of Buckhannon and Justin William Adamy of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren Dylan Scott Adamy, Connor Michael Lee Brown, and Avery Ellasue Brown all of Buckhannon; step-grandchildren Christine (Jon) Lane of Morgantown, Corby (Duke) Davis, James "Bud" Harper, and Harry Davis of Wentzville, Missouri; and step-great-grandchildren Raelyn, Mallory, and Miranda Lane of Morgantown.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Macel Belle Bickel Lough; brothers Hansford Lough and Minter Lough; sisters Emma Stidom, Bessie Cochran, and Myrtle Belle Ware; step-sisters Tressie Parker, Ora Evans, and Alice Holcomb; and step-brothers Luther Lough and Patty Lough.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin, WV.
