Allidene Pletcher

August 23, 1941 — June 8, 2016

Allidene Frances Cool Pletcher, 74, of Morgantown, formerly of Guardian, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Mapleshire Nursing Home in Morgantown.

She was a member of Pierpont Church of the Nazarene and when able was very active. She was also a member of Residents’ Council at Mapleshire Nursing Home.  Allidene enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Pittsburgh Pirates, Miami Dolphins and West Virginia Mountaineers.  She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.

Born August 23, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Gilmer and Irene Hall Cool.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Pletcher; brothers, Shirley Cool and Fred Cool; and her son-in-law, Douglas McIntosh.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda McIntosh and Michelle Cool, both of Morgantown; granddaughters, Brandi McIntosh of Morgantown and Jessica Taylor (husband, Jeremiah) of Masontown; great-grandchildren, Lillian Taylor, Owen Taylor, and Parker Taylor, all of Masontown; and siblings, Murl Cool (wife, Mary) of LaGrange, OH, Betty Colhouer of Fairmont, Daniel Cool (wife, Sherry) of Flatwoods, Nancy Tanner (husband, Glenn) of Fairmont, and Ralph Cool (wife Yvone) of Diana; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services will be held 2pm on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, with the Reverend Casey Shorr officiating, burial will follow at Cogar Cemetery, Guardian.

Friends may join the family for visitation 6-8 on Friday night at the funeral home.
