Alfred Lynn Pugh, Sr.

Alfred Lynn Pugh, Sr. 68, of Jumbo passed away Friday, February 23, 2024.  Alfred was born October 12, 1955 in Webster Springs and was the son of the late Frank and Glada Cogar Pugh.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Buddy Pugh, two grandsons; siblings; Carlene Riffle, Arlene Brooks, Sylvalene Rutherford, Waneta Sue Hamrick and Delano Pugh.

Alfred was a retired loaderman from JC Hamer Co. after 29 years.  Alfred was a people person, he never met a stranger; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Richie Hall Pugh; children; Veronica Smith and husband David, Jessica Tacy and husband Jeremy, Alfred (AJ) Pugh, Jr and his companion Brittany, Donna Kay Pugh and Evan Stewart; several grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Kay Walker and Patricia Rutherford; and also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may join the family for visitation starting at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs.  At 7:00 PM Jimmy Stout will conduct a eulogy and at the conclusion visitation will continue until 9:00 PM.  

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the funeral home assist Richie with funeral expenses.
