Agatha Bennett

March 8, 1933 — July 15, 2016

Agatha Jean Bell Bennett, 83, of Webster Springs, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Davis Memorial Hospital, Elkins.

Born March 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George Cleveland and Bertha Belle (Keller) Bell.  Agatha was a Christian and a member of Point Mountain Community Church.  She was also active in organizations such as the Eastern Star, Rebekahs, Pythians and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed crafting and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Dexter Bell, Watson Bell, Ellen Handshumaker, and Arrettia Taylor.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Jennings “Dud” Bennett; brother Burton Bell of Webster Springs; sister, Wynonia Knight and husband, Sampson, of Webster Springs; aunt, Wanda Bennett of Belington; special nephew, Rick Knight and wife, Brenda of Webster Springs; special niece, Darlene Clifton and husband, Larry of Fairfax, VA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs, with the Rev. Arlen Carpenter officiating.  Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.

Friends may join the family for a visitation 6-8PM on Monday evening at the funeral home.
