Hazel E. Cutlip, 99, of Charleston, formerly of Webster Springs, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Valley Center in Charleston.
Born June 20, 1919 in Nicholas County, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Dottie (Childers) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Lee “Pete” Cutlip; son, Dale Cutlip; two brothers, Creed and Wilber Davis; and a sister, Kitty Woodby.
Hazel lived most of her life in Webster County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Webster Springs. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge #91 of Hacker Valley.
Left the cherish her memory are her son, James Keith (wife, Linda) Cutlip of SC; and two adopted children, Michael (wife, Karla) Cutlip of FL and Tammy (wife, Rachel)Cutlip of SC; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate Hazel’s life will take place 1pm, Thursday, September 6. 2018 at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. The Rebekah Lodge service will begin fifteen minutes prior to the funeral time. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.
Friends may join the family for visitation one hour prior to the funeral service.
