Donald Carpenter 82, of Webster Springs, WV, died on March 19, 2010, in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV. He was born in Kovan, WV, the son of the late Oliver Jason and Gladys Mae Clevenger Carpenter. He was a life long resident of Webster County and an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Roda Ware Carpenter of Webster Springs, daughters: Sherry Cool (Darren) of Webster Springs, brothers: Franklin & Richard Carpenter both of Ohio, sisters: Polly Ann of Michigan, Patty Jo Green of Ohio, and Peggy Sonic of Pennsylvania, and grandchildren: Makayla and Calib Cool of Webster Springs, WV. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Diana, WV, with military rites rendered by Addison McLoughlin Post #3738. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 23, from 6-9 p.m.
