Ronald Eugene Wayne 45, of Cowen, WV, died on Sept. 20, 2010, from injuries received in an automobile accident in Nicholas County. He was born April 14, 1965, in Gary, IN, son of Franklin and Emma Jean Bennett Wayne of Fenwick, WV. He had lived in Cowen for three years, coming from DeMott and Hobart, IN. He was a 1983 graduate of Kankakee Valley High School, Wheatfield, IN and attended Wyoming Technical School, Larmie, WY. He was a diesel mechanic, a Methodist by faith, and loved hunting and fishing.

     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Rev. Okey Wayne, and maternal grandparents: Ira and Ruby Bennett.

   Surviving Ronald in addition to his parents are: Companion: Melissa Merrill of Cowen, daughter: Marissa Jean Wayne of Cowen, step son: Michael Dwayne Merrill of Cowen, brother: Steven M. Wayne of Richwood, WV, and paternal grandmother: Ilene Wayne of Summersville, WV.

     Services will be at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Ben Stone officiating. Burial will be in the Wayne Cemetery, Cowen. Friends may call on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
